I'm more than proud of my beloved boyfriend, who has been sober now for 8 years. He has been able to change all aspects of his old, bad life, and grown into the most loving and caring person you can imagine. The problem is, as a kid, he had an addiction to drugs, that stole a lot from his health. Most visible part is his ruined teeth. I know he wants to fix them more than anything to lose this last part of his dark past. The problem is, it's very, very expensive, and we are not very wealthy. Can anyone think of anything LEGAL, that i could do to help this situation. I know it would mean the world to him, and I wish my love alone could fix it, but it cant.

in Germany you could be able to go to a psychologist and talk to them about how much your teeth bother you and that they decrease your life quality and then our health system would pay for the dental work done. I have no idea how it works in Finland, thou
I'm not sure of this, but I remember that dentists are cheaper in eastern europe (like poland), REALLY cheaper, so maybe if you by some low cost flight for there, it might works... I found this: http://www.appledent.hu/
Try Bulgaria, it's cheap there and the service is top notch. You can even mix a holiday in between ;)
I was very moved by your situation, and I figure that if it was possible for you to travel to the east, you would not be posting here... I guess that is not possible for you guys! So I asked my friend in Helsinski. This is what she answered, so I would like to know, why this is not possible for you, and how we could help further? **** Tanja Rajamäki Hi Maria!!!! I think public sector services in health care field should be affordable.. especially if dental problems are considered as a threath to a person's health, not just to beautify smile. Private sector is expensive for sure!! ****
Thanks so much everyone :) I've been looking up all this stuff, and in any case, the whole thing would still be thousands of euros. Finnish healthcare system works in most occations, but the free dentalcare is only for people under 18. I'm keeping up my investigations. At the moment we are both students, so there's no way to take a loan that big. Thank you again, you're sweet people :)
Come to India where dental care is very cheap. You can get th service from India at a fraction of what you can get in the northern hemisphere.
Is there a dental school nearby? I know people here in California often go to dental schools to have high-quality work done by students (supervised by instructors). Good luck!
